Travel Dirt, a blog where I share my tips and tricks for finding the hidden gems of travel. I'm not interested in the usual tourist traps, I want to explore the places that most people overlook or ignore. I want to give you the dirt on travel, which means telling you the truth about what to expect, what to avoid, and what to enjoy.
In this blog, I'll be writing about my experiences in different countries, mainly in Europe, but also in some other parts of the world. I'll be covering topics such as culture, food, history, nature, and more. I'll also be giving you practical advice on how to plan your trips, how to save money, how to stay safe, and how to have fun.
For my first post, I want to talk about some of the countries that I've visited recently and what I learned from them. Here are some of the highlights:
This is one of my favorite countries in the world. It has so much to offer, from the beautiful landscapes and architecture, to the delicious cuisine and wine, to the rich history and art. I especially loved visiting the smaller towns and villages, where I felt like I was stepping back in time. Some of the places that I recommend are Siena, Lucca, Assisi, and Cinque Terre.
This is a paradise for anyone who loves nature and spirituality. The island is full of stunning scenery, from the lush green rice terraces, to the majestic volcanoes, to the crystal clear beaches. The people are very friendly and welcoming, and their culture is fascinating and diverse. I enjoyed learning about their Hindu traditions and rituals, as well as their arts and crafts. Some of the places that I recommend are Ubud, Canggu, Uluwatu, and Nusa Penida.
This is a country that blends tradition and modernity in a unique way. It has a rich and ancient history, but also a vibrant and innovative present. The contrast between the old and the new is amazing to see. I loved exploring the temples and shrines, as well as the skyscrapers and neon lights. The food is also incredible, from the fresh sushi and ramen, to the exotic street snacks and desserts. Some of the places that I recommend are Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima.
This is a country that surprised me with its charm and diversity. It has a lot of history and culture, but also a lot of fun and creativity. The capital city of Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with its stunning architecture and monuments, as well as its lively nightlife and festivals. The countryside is also worth exploring, with its scenic lakes and mountains, as well as its thermal baths and spas. Some of the places that I recommend are Budapest, Eger, Lake Balaton, and Szentendre.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and that it inspired you to travel more. Stay tuned for more posts where I'll go into more detail about each country and share more of my travel dirt with you. Until then, happy travels!
